Cannabis, Culture and Change Conference 2027
February 27, 2027
Emerald Village West Hollywood invites you to sign up for our open Call for Speakers to participate in the second Cannabis, Culture and Change Conference in West Hollywood, California.
Scheduled for Saturday, February 27, 2027, the conference will focus on two central questions: How do we improve portrayals of cannabis in culture and how do we improve cannabis culture?
Changing Cannabis in Culture: Through music, movies, media, television, technology and more, cultural perceptions of cannabis are shaped by how the plant is presented. Like GLAAD has increased visibility, acceptance and awareness of LGBT issues, how can the cannabis community change portrayals and perceptions of the plant in society at large?
Possible topics may include: Changing Hollywood’s portrayals of cannabis, how cannabis in music impacts public perceptions, how do we avoid anti-cannabis bias in search and AI, and more!
Changing Cannabis Culture: With legalization spreading across the country and the world, cannabis culture is becoming more visible. How can we improve as a community so that we project a better image to the outside world?
Possible topics may include: Respecting our Legacy, Marketing and Visibility, Working Together, and Respecting the Women of Cannabis.
We are looking for dynamic speakers with great ideas!
Interested in participating? Please submit a speaker interest form, and let us know what you would like to discuss, and whether you are interested in being a panelist, keynote speaker or either.
Speakers will be responsible for their own travel costs and expenses and will not receive compensation for participating in the event.
Speakers will receive free tickets to our VIP events before and after the conference.
THE CALL FOR SPEAKERS: PHASE ONE ENDS ON NOVEMBER 16, 2026.
